Anatomist Gunther von Hagens has developed a technique for plastinating anatomical tissue, so that organs, blood vessels, bone and muscle can be observed in extraordinary detail.
Von Hagens' latest exhibit, "Koerperwelten der Tiere", (Animal Body Worlds) has just opened at the zoo in Cologne, Germany.
The exhbit follows in the footsteps of Von Hagens' other highly successful exhibits in which his technique was used to display human anatomy.
