Ugliest Pets So Far

Mother Nature is sometimes confused. Not all pets are cute, sometimes they can look very strange and ugly, and often we start to love them as such, because they are different. Here are some nasty pets that look exactly like that.

Best friend: Maddison Biddlecombe didn't want Diego to be put down just because he has a disfigured face. A six-year-old girl is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for an operation on her beloved foal after he was born with a rare condition which left his face disfigured.

The Ungliest Dog

"Ug" No More - With a face that only a mother could love, this 2 year-old half-blind Pointer mix was abandoned in an animal shelter in England before finally getting lucky. When he was named Britain's Ugliest Dog in 2010, suddenly hundreds of people flooded the Mayflower Animal Shelter with inquiries about adopting him.

The Ugliest Cat

The Ugliest cat in the world is Ugly Bertie. Found by the RSPCA in Farnworth, Lancashire, Ugly Bertie is a Persian longhair, orange-eyed, sniff noses, mean-faced, cloth cat. Ugly Bertie presents our gallery of ugly pets:

 World's Ugliest Bird – Oscar

"Oscar the cockatoo has been dubbed "The World's Ugliest Bird." Oscar has lived at Florida's humane society for the past 12 years. She has a disease called beak and feather disease. It causes her feathers to grow all wonky and irritating, so she plucks them out. She still has feathers on her head, because she can't reach those. Eventually the disease will affect her beak and nails."

The Ungliest - Aye-Aye

Aye Aye - Daubentonia madagascariensis is a strepsirrhine native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker. It is the world’s largest nocturnal primate, and is characterized by its unique method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs, then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out. It weighs about 2.5 kilograms, with the female weighing in slightly less (by an average of 100 grams) than males.

The Ungliest A Hairless Guinea Pig

A bizarre breed of guinea pig that was created for laboratory testing more than 30 years ago has become the latest designer pet. The skinny-pig has no hair on its body except for tufts on its face and feet. They eat three times the amount of a normal hairy pig and their dry skin requires moisturising. But animal lovers are willing to pay up to $300 for a Hairless Guinea Pig.

The Ugliest Baby Pangolin

It's small, yes, and the bottle is a nice touch, but look at that armor!

World’s Ugliest Dog

Elwood: Don't Feed After Midnight - 2007's World's Ugliest Dog competition introduced us to Elwood, a 2 year-old Chinese Crested/Chihuahua mix who won the blue ribbon that year. Elwood's owners were thrilled to win the competition (and the $1,000 prize money), especially because Elwood's breeder had planned to euthanize him when he was born because she deemed him "too ugly to sell.

The Ugliest Cat - No2
What a heart-warming image of motherly love cat. You can just feel the waves of joy, contentment, and pride emanating off her. I've not yet experienced motherhood myself, but I can only hope such delight is in store for me when the happy time comes.

The Ugliest Turtles - Mata Mata

The first entry, resembling an offensive looking rock is the Mata Mata. If you couldn’t tell its actually a turtle, and it’s hands down the ugliest turtle in the world.

Mata Turtle

The Mata Mata is found in South America and regardless of its great skill as a hunter this ugly turtle isn’t exactly thriving in the wild. This could be because potential partners can’t stand looking at each other or maybe just because every time its prey sees its hunters face it zips off like lightening, who knows?

I feel pity for those animals. Oscar the cockatoo looks very creepy without his feathers. I hope I can do something about them.
